Every year, the San Diego Comic-Con International brings together all the evil forces and heroic idols together in good spirits, for the multi-genre entertainment and comic convention. The 4-day event is attended by comic book dealers, movie studios, TV networks, and video game companies, to promote their upcoming projects and interact with fans through panels, seminars and workshops.
This year, the Comic-Con was held between 24th to 27th July, 2014 in San Diego, during which, many prominent brands looked up to PUSH Marketing and Promotions for its event staffing services. And who could resist the urge to dress up as their favorite fictional character, that too not for just one or two but four whole days! Certainly not the event staff from PUSH! It was a great honor for PUSH to be trusted with such a major event that attracts comic and TV enthusiasts from all corners of the world. But like every event that we have rocked in the past, the Comic-Con was yet another glistening feather in PUSH’s cap.
Having an experience of working with many big names under our belt, the event staff at PUSH was fully prepared to meet the marketing criteria for brands like Brand Connections, Namco Bandai, Alienware, AMC, TNT, and many more. An event as prestigious as the Comic-Con demands nothing but the best, so we had over 200 of our event staff all prepped and propped to take the event by storm. The overall goal of the activation was to increase visibility of the brands through tradeshow staffing, street team and costume characters. We staffed Managers, Brand Ambassadors, Costume Characters, Flash Mobs, Guerilla stunts, and more, to create viral buzz for the new seasons of TV shows and games.
Brand Connections hired PUSH to market various television properties, including the Walking Dead, Falling Skies, Witches of East End, and Bates Motel. Our event staff looked drop dead gorgeous dressed up as the witches from the Witches of East End, as seen in the video, and pictures! Anchor Bay Entertainment wanted a team of costume characters for flash mob dancing, and our event staff did not fail to gather a large crowd each time they shook a leg. Their perfectly synchronized moves and flawless costumes kept the onlookers coming back, while they performed untiringly.
Alienware, the high-end gaming PC manufacturer, hired PUSH for its specialty, brand ambassadors. at the event. Needless to say the staff did a great job of keep the fans engaged and entertained. Namco Bandai, with its impressive gaming catalog and mobile apps, hired PUSH for the same purpose and we nailed it! Among the highly talented event staff, Kassi M, stood out the most for her enthusiastic personality and great customer engagement skills.
After 6000+ hours of staffing, 500,000+ interactions and millions of impressions, we don’t hesitate to say that event staff of PUSH was the true hero at this year’s Comic-Con. And we can’t wait to be part of Comic-Con 2015!
PUSH Corporate would like to acknowledge and give thanks to Mark and Erica Bernardini out of the NY/NJ PUSH office for all that they had done for this show.
